We are delighted to announce that on Tuesday evening our Robert Castings development in Huddersfield was named ‘Best Residential Building’ at the Huddersfield Civic Society Design Awards Ceremony. The ceremony was attended by Design Director, Dave Roberts, who proudly accepted our award on behalf of everyone who has worked on this project.
The Huddersfield Civic Society launched its annual design awards in 2012, in order to demonstrate their support in both protecting and enhancing the heritage of the town and to celebrate the very best in new design and innovation.
During 2014 the society, in conjunction with the Huddersfield Daily Examiner, invited its members to nominate their favourite buildings from various categories, namely Best New Development, Best Shop Front, Best Refurbishment and Best Residential. In addition, Huddersfield Daily Examiner invited its readers to nominate their favourite building.
The judges felt our Robert Castings development was ‘a strong, no-nonsense development that reflects the former industrial nature of the riverside area, complementing both successfully converted older properties and a number of exciting new developments while providing well located student accommodation within an attractively landscaped campus.’ Congratulations and well done to everyone who has been involved in this project.
