Insider media have reported today on the forward-sale of the Belfast scheme and the completion of a development agreement on Hollis Croft, Sheffield.
Bangor-headquartered student accommodation specialist Watkin Jones has forward-sold a 350-bed scheme in Belfast and entered into a development agreement to create space for almost 1,000 beds in Sheffield.
The AIM-listed company has forward-sold a 354-bed development on Little Patrick Street in Belfast to an unnamed institutional investor. It has also completed a development agreement for 972 beds on the Hollis Croft scheme in Sheffield to the same investor.
The consideration payable to Watkin Jones over the course of the developments is approximately £90m.
Both developments are due for completion for the summer of 2019.

Yesterday we were delighted to present a cheque to Rob from Happy Days Children’s Charity. The charity will use this donation towards a course at an outdoor learning centre, for Children on the autistic spectrum. This course will provide the Children with a variety of skills they cannot learn in a school environment and will help with their social skills and development, later in life.
