Currently works up to ground floor and RC part slab level 2 complete.

Well done to Russell Franklin and the team at Midland Road, Bath after a two week delay & time loss to programme caused by two complicated 6 meter deep culvert diversions /sewer connections across the site, the team are back on track, great effort by everyone. Keep up the good work


Considerate Constructors – Double success for South Wales and South West Division!

The team  have achieved a score of 39 which is brilliant – Exceptional for their first Considerate Constructors Scheme visit!

The score reflects beyond compliance result with a fantastic ‘9 – Exceptional’ for Respect in the Community.

Bridge Street, Cardiff

The team at have received an additional 2 points for their second Considerate Constructors Scheme visit, as well as achieving Performance Beyond Compliance!

Cheque presentation – Mon SAR

Last week we were delighted to present Mon SAR with a cheque for £500.00 as part of our Community Fund.

Mon SAR, founded in May 2015, is a lowland search team on Anglesey in North Wales. The team supports the existing search and rescue services working on the island and the mainland by providing specialist land based lowland search personnel.

On Friday we were delighted to present the Craig – y – Don Bowls Club with a cheque from our Community Fund.

The Bowls Club have been renovating the premises and the progress they have made is amazing! We are so pleased to be able to support them!

Christchurch Road are Considerate Constructors

The team at Christchurch Road have complied with the Scheme’s Code of Considerate Practice by achieving a score of 7 or above in each of the five sections, please see below the Performance Beyond Compliance Certificate for the site’s achievement.

The aim of the Scheme is to improve the image of construction. This is achieved by monitoring sites, suggesting areas where improvements could be made and rewarding those who are performing at the highest levels.

Completion of forward sales of two Watkin Jones developments!

We are delighted to announce the forward sale of two Watkin Jones developments!

A 618 bedroom Student Accommodation in Pittodrie, Aberdeen, sold to an unnamed institutional investor. The consideration payable to Watkin Jones over the course of the development, which is due for completion in the summer of 2019, is circa £51 million, net of client funding costs.

Following this agreement, Watkin Jones have now forward sold 2,599 of the 3,545 beds planned to be delivered during FY19, ahead of the 2019/2020 academic year.  All schemes planned to be delivered during FY17 have been successfully handed over and all schemes due to be delivered during FY18 and ahead of the 2018/19 academic year have been forward sold.

In addition, the Group is also pleased to announce the forward sale of the office element of the major project on Christchurch Road, Bournemouth for £15.3 million, net of client funding costs.  This forward sale completes the exit for the Group of the Christchurch Road development.  This included 454 beds of student accommodation, which were completed and handed over in August 2017, as well as 129 hotel rooms for Premier Inn that has been forward sold.  Completion of the Premier Inn is targeted for January 2018 and the office building for May 2018.
